Universal Dynamics releases advanced process controller for industry - BrainWave MultiMax™

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: SEPTEMBER 21, 2001

Richmond, BC, Canada

Universal Dynamics Technologies Inc., developer of BrainWave®, the leading advanced regulatory controller, announces the release of a multiple-input multiple-output version of the BrainWave controller. The new controller, designated BrainWave-MultiMax, will be available January 1, 2002. It features the same easy-to-use capability and interface of Universal Dynamics well-known standard BrainWave controller. BrainWave-MultiMax will handle complex processes in up to a 24 X 6 input-output configuration. Beta version testing is in progress at selected test sites.

BrainWave-MultiMax is a Windows NT/ 2000 Professional based controller that uses the same patented Dynamic Modeling Technology of process dynamics as the standard, multiple-input, single-output BrainWave controller. BrainWave-MultiMax expands the capability of the BrainWave line of advanced process controllers. Now, the performance of all industrial processes can be improved with BrainWave technology. BrainWave technology is typically implemented in a few hours to days as compared to months for other technologies. Existing plant staff can install and support BrainWave. Specialized and expensive support services are not needed.

Universal Dynamics' BrainWave controller typically reduces product variability by 50% to 95%. This lowers plant production costs and significantly improves product quality. BrainWave is known as the "Smart Cruise Control for Industry".
