Mark Weaver Wins 2002 Meritorious Engineering Award

Universal Dynamics' Mark Weaver, PE, P.Eng. is the 2002 recipient of the IEEE Pulp & Paper Industry Committee's Meritorious Engineering Award. The award recognizes Mark's leadership and achievement in the practice of electrical engineering in the Pulp & Paper industry. Mr. Weaver is a leader in the application of large motor drives and drive control systems. His expertise includes the application of power generation systems (nuclear, hydroelectric, stationary engine and fossil fueled boiler), co-generation systems (steam turbine, gas turbine and combined cycle), turbine-generator controls, winder control systems and pulp and paper process controls.

Mark received a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Illinois at Champaign, Illinois in 1971. He is a Senior Member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers. He has presented numerous papers at IEEE, ISA and TAPPI conferences as well as conducting seminars and tutorials in his area of expertise.
