BrainWave® MultiMax
World's first practical, adaptive, Multivariable Process controller FOR IMMEDIATE
RELEASE: December 11, 2002
Richmond, BC, Canada
Universal Dynamics
Technologies Inc., the developer of BrainWave software announces the
release of BrainWave version 8.0 with the all-new MultiMax control software.
BrainWave - industry's most widely used advanced process controller
- is known for being quick to install and adaptable while controlling
industry's most difficult processes.
The new MultiMax
version 8.0 permits the control of large coupled processes. Users can
rapidly deploy advanced controls on the most complex applications such
as distillation columns, paper machines, multi-unit batch reactors,
and other complex processes where an actuator affects a multitude of
process variables or where the user is trying to achieve multiple objectives
simultaneously. BrainWave MultiMax automatically finds the best solution
or most economical point of operation and can be set to automatically
update itself to keep the process running optimally. This drastically
reduces the start-up times and maintenance times to fractions of what
other advanced control solutions require. BrainWave provides huge cost
savings or profit improvements compared with conventional technology.
A recent application
of BrainWave MultiMax in an oil refinery blending application showed
a 70% reduction in variability and a 3-month payback on investment.
Universal Dynamics'
BrainWave software has been adopted by many of the world's leading Chemical,
Petroleum, Food, Beverage, Glass, and Pulp and Paper manufacturers.
BrainWave's powerful, advanced control technology reduces costs and
improves manufacturing efficiencies using existing plant control system
infrastructure. Product variability is reduced and processes are shifted
to the most efficient operating point. The MultiMax version expands
BrainWave's capability to cover virtually all manufacturing process
applications.
BrainWave has received
numerous industry awards such as ISA's most innovative product award,
NSERC's Synergy award and others for the unique and powerful technology.
Universal Dynamics
is a unique combination of Engineers, Scientists and Programmers, with
the in-depth knowledge required for industrial productivity improvement.
The courage to innovate is demonstrated by Universal Dynamics many technical
awards and patented technologies. Founded in 1965, Universal Dynamics'
track record and resources assure the continued success of its customer's
manufacturing operations. Its international reputation has been earned
by exceeding customer expectations.
