Home / Systems SystemsUniversal Dynamics understands your process and can relate to your specific situation. Our strong industrial experience and our innovative approach results in effective solutions, implemented at the plant level. Electrode Monitoring and Control System (EMACS) significantly increases process efficiency in mercury cell rooms by increasing the accuracy of both manual and automatic control of electrical process parameters. Significant power cost reductions have resulted from its application over the past decade. Glass furnace and forehearth optimization improves product quality, reduces waste, maximizes yield and increases production rates. GlassMax uses model-based predictive adaptive control technology and a rules-based expert system to optimize and maximize glass production. The "REMERC process" is an EPA accepted low temperature, chemical extraction technique for recovering, mercury and other heavy metals from industrial wastes and contaminated soils. This process is a cost effective and environmentally friendly alternative to high temperature roasting of mercury containing sludges. KilnMax is a unique PC-based control system that optimizes kiln operation to improve lime quality, production and fuel efficiency. Variable feed characteristics, long process delays and non-linear combustion and calcination can all be effectively managed with KilnMax. The Recausticizing Optimization system uses Near InfraRed (NIR) and BrainWave® technologies to increase production by 5% to 10% and reduce lime usage by 10% to 20%. BrainWave® is a revolutionary adaptive model-based controller that outperforms all other advanced PID-based controllers. Field data proves that BrainWave reduces process variability by 30% to 50% compared to the well-tuned PIDs it replaces. By maintaining the process closer to peak performance targets, BrainWave delivers better product quality, increased plant capacity and lower operating costs. Payback is typically 6 to 9 months. BrainWave has been applied to hundreds of loops in the process industries. To accommodate the need for connecting people and information more efficiently, and the desire to increase customer satisfaction by providing better order and shipment information, Universal Dynamics implemented a Supply Chain Management (SCM) system to serve this purpose. |
